Law

Marc Denhez is a Member of the Law Society of Ontario. He served as an adjudicator on the Ontario Municipal Board 2004-2016 (now Ontario Land Tribunal) as a Member of the Senior Management Group of the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney-General. He was earlier retained for legal research on specialized topics for all ten provinces and several major Canadian cities.

Policy

He chaired the national government-industry task force on the residential renovation industry, and served for 14 years on the Executive of the Canadian Renovators’ Council. He is a former International Vice-President of the Association for Preservation Technology. He also conducted three program reviews for UNESCO, and served on the National Capital Commission (1999-2002). He currently serves on the board of a development corporation focused on rehabilitation projects.

Authorship

He authored the book The Canadian Home. He has been published over 250 times, in seven languages, on property-related topics ranging from archaeology to environmental philanthropy. Two publications were distributed by the International Union of Local Authorities and the World Bank.

Communication

He taught courses on related topics at four universities, and postgraduate seminars at almost thirty universities in Canada, the U.K. and Europe. He delivered addresses at the Canadian and American Bar Associations, the Bauhaus University (Weimar), and the Smithsonian Institution.
